Terms of Service
Effective date: 4 October 2026
These terms cover your use of this website (peepdata.dizipeep.com) and the videos published on the DataPeep YouTube channel. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What DataPeep is
DataPeep publishes videos that compare countries, economies and history through data — animated charts with narration and commentary that explain the numbers. This website presents the channel and hosts these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Using the site and the videos
- You may browse this site and watch, share and link to our videos for personal, non-commercial use.
- Our videos are hosted on YouTube. Watching them there is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Please don't re-upload, re-sell or pass off our videos, charts or narration as your own. Short excerpts for commentary, criticism, news reporting or teaching are welcome where the law allows, with credit to DataPeep and a link to the original.
Intellectual property
The DataPeep name, logo, charts, animations, scripts and narration are owned by DataPeep unless stated otherwise. Underlying datasets belong to their publishers and are used under their own licences; country names, flags and similar public symbols belong to their respective owners. If you believe something in our content infringes your rights, email [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
Data sources and accuracy
We build our charts from public, reputable sources such as the World Bank, the IMF and Our World in Data, and credit the sources in every video. We work hard to get things right, but:
- Source data can contain errors, gaps, estimates and later revisions.
- Comparisons involve choices — currencies, inflation adjustment, population base, time period — that can change how results look. We explain the important ones in the video.
- Animations may smooth or interpolate between data points for readability.
Our content is provided for general information and education, as is, without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will correct it where we can.
No financial or investment advice
Nothing on this website or in our videos is financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Economic data describes the past and does not predict the future. Do your own research and talk to a qualified professional before making decisions.
Links to other sites
We link to YouTube, data publishers and other sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, DataPeep is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or our videos, or from relying on any information in them. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
